Blackness Castle, a former key Scottish port, stands proudly on the banks of the River Forth, while the sky turns from peach to orange during a peaceful evening sunset. The old jetty posts, still visible on the shoreline by Wester Shore Woods, are a reminder of the castle's important past. As the sun sets, the water of the Forth creates a smooth and reflective surface, making it an ideal spot for mindfulness and relaxation.

Serving the royal palace at nearby Linlithgow, Blackness was historically Scotland's second biggest port, surpassed only by Leith, a few miles east of here.
