Wall Art by Douglas Milne

Douglas Milne is a landscape photographer based in West Lothian, Scotland.

He has been taking photographs since 2014. While working in Whitley Bay for a couple of years, he found it impossible to capture decent photographs of St Mary's Lighthouse, which sits out in the bay. Although it was relatively close at hand, it always appeared tiny on pictures that he took on his phone.

So he bought a proper camera. And lo and behold, the lighthouse still looked tiny. So he bought a zoom lens. Bingo. Then he bought a book on how to take photographs and learned all about how to compose pictures.

And the rest just snowballed. Always a keen walker, his camera has allowed him to record some of the fantastic scenery that he sees on his hikes. And the pictures that he has taken have been used to illustrate his various walking books.

Douglas hopes to capture the zen-like tranquility of the process of landscape photography in his pictures.
