TweetThe Cross on the summit of Ben Ledi is a sombre reminder of the sacrifice made by Sergeant Harry Lawrie BEM.
Sgt. Lawrie, from nearby Callander, was a member of the Killin Mountain Rescue Team. He died in a helicopter crash on Ben More while attending a rescue on 1st February 1987.
This stunning mountain, located in the Trossachs region of Scotland, is home to the Cross, which serves as both a religious symbol and a tribute to Lawrie's life and legacy. With stormy hills, Loch Lubnaig in the distance, and the beautiful Scottish highlands all around, this location is perfect for hillwalking and outdoor enthusiasts.
The Cross is also a tribute to the brave mountain rescue teams who risk their lives to save others in this breathtaking wilderness.
