Loch Lomond from Cnap Mor

As the West Highland Way leaves the Loch Lomond basin and enters Glen Falloch, it is worth turning around for a final look at the loch that has been a constant travelling companion for the last 30km.

The West Highland Way Waymarker Post is inscribed with the name of Dario Melaragni. Melaragni was a runner, and organiser of the West Highland Way Race, the longest event in Scotland's athletics fixture list. He collapsed and died of a heart attack while running in Lochnagar in July 2009.
