TweetThe sun sets near Dumgoyne in the Campsie Fells, near Strathblane, on the West Highland Way, Scotland.
This shot was taken one evening in late March 2017. For me, Strathblane is where the West Highland Way really begins, as you leave Glasgow and Milngavie behind. As you enter Strathblane, just south of this point, you are confronted with the huge vista of the Highlands stretching out ahead, with the huge bulk of Dumgoyne dominating the immediate foreground. It will continue to loom large on the route until the West Highland Way reaches Conic Hill, by Loch Lomond.
