Blackness Castle

Perched on the rocky shores of the Firth of Forth in Scotland, Blackness Castle dates back to the 1440s, and its history is steeped in battles and sieges. The castle's formidable walls and towers have withstood the test of time, but now stand as a haunting and beautiful ruin. As you approach, you can almost feel the echoes of its past reverberating through the air. The castle was featured in the popular TV series Outlander, as the imposing Fort William.
